As MEF Project Manager, Mark manages the microfinance team of EO which provides personal and business loans as well as credit building and business training to the underserved population in Idaho.

Mark is the founder, Chair of the Board, and former C.E.O. of a B Corporation – Eco2librium LLC – that uses business as a tool to solve social and environmental problems in Kenya. This company has 500 employees and 30 mid-managerial staff that run five energy and forestry-related divisions including micro-enterprise finance for women’s groups for business startup. He has been invited to speak at the World Forum for a Responsible Economy in France and Eco2librium has been highlighted as Best for the World among the global B Corporations. Prior to running a business, he was an Assistant Professor of Environmental and Natural Sciences at Western State Colorado University and Central Michigan University. He has conducted research and published papers in wildlife biology, rainforest conservation, sustainable energy, and natural resource use in developing countries.
