Aanish Shamim

Education and Community Coordinator

Aanish is the first point of contact for folks looking for financial assistance. He loves interacting with people and listening to their stories. Originally from Pakistan, Aanish looks for any way he can help people disrupt the systemic barriers they may face.

Prior to starting at EO, Aanish assisted students at the College of Western Idaho in all departments including financial aid, workforce development, admissions, and registration. He has worked with various non-profits with promoting health and fitness in the Treasure Valley.  Aanish also works with the Islamic Center of Boise, aiding immigrants and refugees gain access the Mosque and its resources. He is an active member of the Boise Cricket community, and has helped lead initiatives to grow the sport in the Boise area.

Aanish enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, going on adventures with his family, and spoiling his pets.
